It's time to tame the Mighty Mississippi.
14 miles down river from Sunset Marina to the beautiful Loud Thunder Forest Preserve.

Primitive camping at the River View camp lots
Only 1 tent per lot at the River View campsite . Only 30 lots available along the rivers edge and next to the take-out ramp.

Reserve your campsite early as in March. The campground fills up fast. Call Loud Thunder Forest Preserve to reserve your campsite.

Upon arrival at Loud Thunder, you will have to check-in at their campgrounds office and pickup your campsite reservation.
Note; This is not for the race check-in
Race check-in is at our campsite at the River View campsite. Easy to find us we'll have a banner up.

The Race !!

Sunset Marina
31st Ave. Rock Island IL.
Race starts at 8am at Potters Lake in Sunset Marina at the east end if the Marina on 18th. Ave.
You can take either the 31st. Ave. Exit ramp or the 18th. Ave exit ramp, if you take the 31st. Ave exit you can drive along the Marina and Potters Lake to the east end of the lake 18th. Ave. where the race starts.
Please arrive early.
Plenty of paved parking all around the lake.

Note:
Race parking.

Please do not park in the trailer parking lot area where you will drop off your vessels on the east end of the lake unless you have a trailer, if you have a ground crew or just a driver they can park there until the race starts, just not the full day.
Cars with no trailers can park along side of the lake.
Plenty of parking on each side of the lake.

Check-In

Race Check-in will be at Loud Thunder River View camp sites Friday evening at our Camp site at Loud Thunder.

Late Check-In 7am day of the race

Bon Fire Friday night
Grill out after the race Saturday at Loud Thunder.
